Another year and another brilliant highlights package of the world’s top endurance race from Duke Video.

Duke Video has delved into the BP Video Library archives and pulled out a trio of films that capture one of the greatest 24 Hour races ever – Le Mans 1957

Regarded by many as the ultimate motor racing movie; the appeal of Steve McQueen’s homage to Le Mans eludes me.

More than 50 thoroughbred race cars competed in the 1982 Le Mans 24 Hours, but only one finished having used just five tyres – five road legal tyres, that is.

After a disastrous race in 2011, Aston Martin has returned to the GT ranks and will be taking on the big guns for class honours at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours – racing for pride as much as for prestige.

Truth in 24 II not only captures the drama and atmosphere from within the Audi camp at last year’s race, it also informs and entertains, like all good documentaries should.

On the limit of adhesion and reaching speeds of up to 238mph, Mark Blundell produced one of the all-time great laps during qualifying for the 1990 Le Mans 24 Hours.
