The 1971 Trophy Race at Brands Hatch brought together Formula One team managers and former drivers in a competition comprised solely of Ford Escorts.

Brands Hatch’s 1.2-mile Indy circuit does not in any way complement the DTM, and alternative venues should be considered.

With half of this year’s grands prix shown in highlight form, there’s never been a better time to attend some of the many race meetings on the UK’s packed calendar.

We all know motor racing is dangerous, it says so on the ticket. So fingers-crossed that sense will prevail and they leave Brands Hatch alone following the SEAT Eurocup accident.
