The 2012 running of the world’s toughest motorsport event is in full swing in South America. Track its progress via the Red Bull Dakar site.

The latest Dakar Rally highlights package does an adequate job of telling the story of this year’s event rather well. Bikes, cars, trucks and quads; it’s all here. Just not enough of it, unfortunately.

Nearly twelve months ago I listed a few predictions for the year and I think I foolishly agreed I would review them at the end of the season. So here goes…

Duke Video has managed to cram this year’s event into a 53-minute DVD, featuring all the action from the cars, bikes and trucks. I expect fans will have bought their copies already…
